Disclosure on Privacy
Your privacy is important. Yes, we know everyone says that, but for us it really is: you have trusted us by using Fody’s services, and that means we will be committed to protecting your personal information and acting with the utmost transparency and fairness.
In this document we will provide not only a detailed description of how we use and manage your personal data, but we will also provide the necessary contact information for you to contact us if you have any concerns or questions, which of course we will be happy to address. We also encourage you to read the Cookie Policy, which explains how Fody uses cookies and similar technologies.

Well, we will endeavor to treat data collected through these platforms – or through other means related to them, such as emails sent to our customer support team – with the same fairness and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Occasionally we may need to change the above privacy policy. For any updates on this, just visit this page from time to time.
Of course, for any substantial changes to the processing of your personal data (e.g., if it will be our intention to use such data for purposes other than those communicated earlier in this policy), you will be notified prior to the start of the new activities.

Fody may be used for sharing information with other people, for example through participation in a referral program. In this case, the information provided will be used only as described on the appropriate pages of the service, through which you can make yourself aware of all the details. Why does Fody collect and use your personal information?
Your personal information is used for various purposes. Here is, in detail, what they are used for:
- Lifesaving Blanket Donation Service: first of all, we use your personal information to complete and manage your donation request from a distance (our company’s main purpose!). This includes sending communications that relate to your donation, such as confirmations, changes, and reminders.
- Customer support: through our local offices we provide customer support 7 days a week. Sharing your personal information, such as donation details or information about your user account with our customer support allows us to be there for you when you need us, helping you, for example, to find the charitable cause most in need of support or the gift you would most like to receive as a token of your commitment.
- Account: Fody users can create a user account at www.fodyfabrics.com. We use the information you provide to manage your account, allowing you to have many useful features. You can, in fact, manage your donations, take advantage of special offers, help us publicize our initiatives, and manage your personal settings. Choosing personal settings can allow you to manage and share lists, see previously searched products/services, share photos, check other product/service information, and see reviews you have submitted.
- Marketing activities: we also use your information for marketing activities, including:
- Use your information to send you periodic news about travel-related products and services. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time quickly and easily. All you have to do is
newsletters or in other communications.
- Based on the information you share about yourself, we may show you personalized offers on Fody’s site, apps, or third-party sites/applications (including social media sites), and the site content you view may be personalized. These could be offers to purchase a remote life-saving blanket donation service, on co-branded sites, or other third-party offers or products that actively support our initiatives and that you may be interested in.
- When you participate in promotional activities (e.g.
information about it will be used to manage your participation in these promotions.
- Communications: we may happen to contact you by email, mail, phone, or text message, depending on the contact method you have chosen. In addition, we will handle your communications in the following cases:
- Respond to and manage your requests or those of the partner you used to access the products/services offered by Fody. Fody offers users and partners several ways, directly through Fody itself, to exchange information, requests, and comments about active offers and donations made. For more information, scroll down and read the section“How does Fody handle any communications sent to Fody by you and the partner you used to request the service?”
- If you have not completed a lifesaving blanket donation request online, we may contact you with an invitation to
End the distance donation request. We believe this is a useful additional service that allows you to move forward with a request without having to search for the service again or enter the request data again.
- When you use our services we may send you a questionnaire or invite you to provide a review about your experience with Fody or its partners.
- In addition, we will send you other materials related to your donations (such as directions on how to contact Fody in case of need, or useful information that you might need to communicate your commitment alongside Fody). We will also send you materials about current donations or a report of your previous donations with Fody.
- Even if you have no active donations, we may need to send you other administrative messages, for example, security alerts.
This invitation may request information on the partner used.
- Phone call tracking: when you call our customer support team, Fody may use an automatic tracking system to associate your phone number with your active bookings, saving you and the support staff time. Our operators may still ask you to identify yourself, to ensure that your donation request details remain confidential. During phone calls with the customer support team, a system of listening or recording the phone call may be activated for quality control and operator training purposes, including the use of recordings for complaint handling and fraud detection. Not all telephone calls are recorded and recordings are retained for a limited period of time and then automatically erased afterwards, unless Fody has a legitimate reason to retain them for longer, for example in the case of fraud investigations or under the law.
- Promoting a safe and reliable service: In order to create a trustworthy environment for you, other users, and Fody’s business partners, we use personal information to detect and prevent fraud and other illegal or unwanted activities. Similarly, we use personal information for risk analysis and security purposes, including for making reservations and authenticating users. For these purposes, we may be required to block or put on hold certain bookings until our analysis is complete.
- Legal Purposes: Finally, in some cases, we may need to use your information to manage and resolve legal disputes, government investigations and compliance checks, to enforce the Fody terms of service, or to comply with lawful requests from public authorities.
Providing personal data to Fody is voluntary. However, depending on the type of service you want to use, we may be able to offer it to you only if certain personal data is collected. For example, we cannot
process your request to donate life-saving blankets remotely if we do not collect your name and surname, and your contact details. If we use automated means to process personal data that produces legal effects or significantly affects you, we will implement appropriate measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms, including the right to obtain human intervention.
To manage your personal data as described above, we rely on the following principles: Fody uses as a legal basis the need to process personal data for the performance of the contract, specifically to complete and administer your request for the donation of life-saving blankets remotely. If the necessary personal data is not provided, Fody will not be able to complete the provision of the service, the delivery of any free products and consequently will not be able to provide customer service.
Fody also relies on the legitimate commercial interest of providing its services, preventing fraud and improving services: when personal data is used for the legitimate interest of Fody or a third party, Fody will in any case carry out a balancing between your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data and the rights and interests of Fody or the third party.

Cookie Policy
Whenever you use our online services, including our applications, cookies and other tracking technologies are used for various reasons, such as to make the Fody website work, to analyse traffic or for advertising purposes. These technologies may be used directly by us or through our business partners, including third-party service providers and advertisers we work with. If you want to know more about cookies, how they are used and what your choices are, continue reading.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of data that is stored in the browser of your computer or mobile device. The so-called “first-party cookies” are those attributable to the operator who at that moment is managing the site that issued the cookie itself. Fody cookies, therefore, are “first-party cookies“.
In the event that we also authorize other parties to release cookies through Fody sites, those cookies would be called “third party“. There is also a further difference between “session cookies” and
are deleted when the browser is closed, while permanent cookies have a longer duration and are not automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
We do our best to use or authorize cookies that last for a maximum of 5 years. Only in exceptional cases, for example for security reasons and when strictly necessary, can a cookie last longer. In addition to using cookies, we also use similar technologies. These include “web beacons” (also known as pixel tags, webbugs or gifs), tracking URLs or SDKs (application development kits). A web beacon is a small graphic object consisting of a single pixel that is delivered to your computer as part of a web page, application, advertisement or via an HTML email. Pixels can be used to collect information about your device, such as the type of device, operating system, IP address and time of visit. They are also used to drop and read cookies in your browser. Tracking URLs are used to determine from which site your visit to the Fody website or applications originated. SDKs are, finally, small pieces of code included in applications, which function like cookies and web beacons.
In this Cookie Policy, all of these technologies are referred to as “cookies“.
How are cookies used?

We also use analytical cookies in our online advertising campaigns, to understand how users interact with our site or applications, following the display of an online advertisement, including advertisements on third-party sites.
